School-Aged Yoga Program

Designed specifically for teens seeking to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This course provides a supportive environment where students can explore various yoga styles, master foundational poses, and learn breathing techniques that promote relaxation and focus. Through a blend of guided practices, mindfulness exercises, and discussions on wellness and self-care, participants will develop greater body awareness, reduce stress, and cultivate resilience. Ideal for students of all levels, our program encourages personal growth, fosters community, and equips teens with lifelong skills to navigate the challenges of adolescence and beyond. Class Structure

Class Length: 45-60 minutes

Introduction: Theme, class structure and expectations are introduced.

Breath Work: Breath work is taught and then we aim for 5 minutes of introduced breath-work.

Warmup: Sun Salutations are taught and practiced during this time.

Poses & Games: During this portion, poses relating to class theme are executed

Cool Down: Seated and reclined poses to calm the class down preparing for savasana.

Savasana & Meditation: Children are asked to sit in silence/meditation for 5-10 minutes.

Goodbye: Final encouraging words are said, mats are cleaned up, Goodbye until next time.

Theme

Self Love: Affirmation are utilized during the class to promote self love, and aid in overcoming negative self talk and image. This class aims on physical strength and building positive self talk.

Friendship: A class of fun and giggles, group poses and partner poses are performed during this class, allowing for new bonds, strengthened, connections and memories to be made.

Power Yoga: Give children an opportunity to challenge their physical abilities and build strength. A popular class for this age group. Strengthening poses are the core of power yoga allowing for a fun new workout followed by a super calming meditation.
