Primary Dance Program

The Primary Dance Program is meticulously designed to introduce young dancers to the fundamental principles of dance in a structured and nurturing environment. This program emphasizes the development of coordination, rhythm, and spatial awareness through a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary, Hip Hop, Country/ Line Dancing.

Participants will engage in age-appropriate exercises that promote physical fitness, creativity, and self-expression. The curriculum focuses on building foundational techniques while fostering a love for movement and performance. In addition to, students will learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, essential qualities both in dance and in life.

This program is ideal for children seeking to explore the world of dance, whether they are beginners or have prior experience. Join us in cultivating a lifelong passion for dance and the arts.

Class Structure

Class length: 20-45 minutes

Introduction: Class structure and expectations are reviewed and put in place.

Warmup: Songs Students love are used to grab their attention from the begging while fun and dynamic stretches are completed to minimize injury.

Dance Steps: Movement and dance steps are completed during this part of class. Children’s gross motor development is challenged with news moves.

Freestyle/Improvisation: Children are encouraged to show their dance moves and skills, partaking in freestyle/improve at the end of class.

Cool Down: Class has a small cool down of taking deep breaths to begin to encourage self regulation and promote a change in the environment to help with an easier transition.

Goodbye: Props are cleaned up, encouraging words are said. Good-bye until next time
